Short answer: If you run a business in Delhi, Noida, Greater Noida, Ghaziabad, Faridabad or Gurugram, you need an SEO expert who understands how local buyers search: by sector, locality, society name and “near me”, on Google Search and Google Maps. I am Yatin Chaudhary, a Delhi NCR-based SEO expert and the founder of Digital Marketing By OG. This page explains what local SEO in the region involves, how I approach it and how to decide whether it is worth doing for your business.
Most of the SEO problems I see in Delhi NCR are not complicated. A business has one generic home page trying to rank for everything, a Google Business Profile that was set up once and forgotten, and a website that never mentions the areas it actually serves. Fixing those three things properly produces more enquiries than any amount of “SEO packages” built on backlinks.
How people in Delhi NCR search
Search behaviour in the region is hyperlocal. People search for “dentist in sector 62 Noida”, “interior designer Gaur City”, “CA near Pari Chowk” or “coaching centre Knowledge Park”. They also search in a mix of Hindi and English, and often on Google Maps rather than the main results.
That has two consequences for SEO:
- Your Business Profile matters as much as your website for anything local.
- Your website needs pages that match the areas and services you genuinely cover, written for people, not stuffed with place names.
What local SEO in Delhi NCR involves
1. Google Business Profile done properly
Google says local results depend on relevance, distance and prominence, and that you cannot pay for a better local ranking. The work is therefore to make your profile as relevant and trustworthy as possible: accurate primary and secondary categories, complete services, real photos, regular updates and a steady flow of genuine reviews. Our Business Profile optimisation guide covers this step by step.
It also means following Google’s rules. If you visit customers rather than receiving them, you should hide your address and set a service area. Virtual offices that are not staffed are not eligible. I will not create profiles at addresses where you do not operate; that is the fastest way to get a profile suspended.
2. Service and location pages
One page for each core service, and location pages only where you genuinely serve an area and have something specific to say about it: projects completed there, how you serve it, relevant details. Thin pages that swap the city name are a waste of effort.
3. Technical health
Fast mobile pages, clean indexing and correct redirects. Many local business sites built cheaply have basic crawl problems that stop pages ranking at all. Our technical SEO audit checklist lists what to check.
4. Consistent business information
Your business name, phone number and details should match across your website, Business Profile, social profiles and directories. Inconsistent details confuse both customers and search engines.
5. Reviews and local proof
Ask every happy customer for a review, reply to all reviews, and show real work from the areas you serve. Never buy reviews.
My experience with local and multi-location SEO
I currently manage local SEO across five business locations, covering Business Profile optimisation, citation building, review strategy and local pack rankings. I also built and optimised the website for an interior design company that wins inbound leads through local SEO and its Business Profile. You can see these projects on my portfolio.
Is local SEO worth it for your business?
| Business type | Local SEO value | Start with |
|---|---|---|
| Clinics, salons, gyms, restaurants, showrooms | Very high | Business Profile, reviews, service pages |
| Home services, interiors, repairs | High | Service-area profile, service pages, project photos |
| Coaching and education | High | Business Profile, course pages, reviews |
| Real estate | High, alongside ads | Project pages, site-office profiles |
| B2B and IT services | Medium | Service pages and problem-led content across India |

Frequently asked questions
How long does local SEO take in Delhi NCR?
Business Profile improvements can show results in a few weeks. Ranking service pages for competitive terms usually takes several months.
Do I need a physical office to rank on Google Maps?
You need a real location where you serve customers, or a service-area profile if you travel to customers. Virtual offices that are not staffed are not eligible under Google’s guidelines.
Should I create a separate page for every sector or city?
Only where you genuinely serve that area and have something specific to say. Duplicate pages that only change the place name rarely help.
Can you help if my Business Profile is suspended?
I can review why it may have been suspended and help you prepare an accurate reinstatement request, provided the business meets Google’s guidelines.
Do you only work with businesses in Noida and Greater Noida?
No. I am based in Delhi NCR and work with businesses across the region and the rest of India.
